DANNY AVIDAN
Danny Avidan
Through bold, gestural and process-based painting, Danny creates lyrical works that draw heavily on mythology and history.
Danny wanders through Greek, Indian and Jewish myths, using their stories and anecdotes as shortcuts to issues of sexuality, mortality and creation. He explores them through painting techniques inspired by an artistic lineage that goes from the Altamira caves to Twombly, creating his own idiosyncratic language, a language of life that affirms the pain that is at the root of what art is for him.
