"The origin of this body of work began in 2022 when my partner and I began taking night walks. The appeal came from the lack of structure, labels, expectations, and time that came with the vastness of night. In The Poetics of Space, Bachelard describes two mirrored bodies of vastness; the external world, and the body’s (or house’s) own interiority, separated by the thinnest skin which is our own perception or ability to say “I.” At night, that skin dissolves."
