My paintings create a mythology of chance, desire, and suspended possibility, where each scene invites the viewer to inhabit a frozen slice of imagistic wonder.Luke O’Halloran
Luke O’Halloran (b. 1991, Thousand Oaks, CA) received his BFA from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2014. His work constructs a visual language of chance and illusion, blending precise observation with poetic imagination. O’Halloran captures transformative moments—the suspended spin of a slot machine wheel, the delicate fall of cards, or a cat twisting midair—where risk and beauty coexist.
His paintings have been shown in prestigious solo exhibitions such as Dealing at Kapp Kapp, New York, and Nicelle Beauchene, New York, and in group exhibitions at Almine Rech, New York, and White Columns, New York, among others. O’Halloran’s work has been reviewed and featured in Artforum, Garage Magazine, Gay Letter, Art Observed, and The Vineyard Gazette, reflecting his engagement with contemporary painting and narrative experimentation.
