My personal story is a confidence I choose to share with those who come close, something whispered into the ear. Within this cauldron, everyone casts in their own ingredient, and I, bringing everything to a boil, search for the potion that can be drunk by all. This potion may be bitter, unpleasant, sweet, or enveloping.
Silvia Paci
Silvia Paci (b. Prato, Italy, 1990) Lives and works in Milan.
After studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Silvia Paci moved to Berlin in 2016, where she continued her training with painter Eoin Llewellyn at the “Berlin Art Class.” That same year she traveled to Beijing for an artist residency sponsored by The Showroom gallery and Australian diplomat and collector Geoff Raby, located in the Chaocangdi art district. In 2020, she relocated to Milan for an artist residency at Viafarini.
Paci’s painting represents reality without being realistic, creating illusion not through mimesis, but through the fragmentation of subjects, the cutting of images, and the deliberate use of color.
Her work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad, across galleries as well as institutional spaces.
