Untitled Art: Houston
Jean-Baptiste Bernadet & Sinead Breslin
Untitled Art, Houston
2--4 Oct, 2026
Booth C02
Andrea Festa is pleased to present at Untitled Art Houston (Booth C2) with a focused presentation of new and recent works by Jean-Baptiste Bernadet and Sinéad Breslin.
Bringing together two distinct approaches to contemporary painting, the presentation explores color, memory and perception through works that move between abstraction and figuration. Bernadet’s paintings unfold through layered chromatic fields in which color appears unstable and atmospheric, suspended between material presence, landscape and recollection. Breslin’s psychologically charged compositions draw on memory, domestic life and personal experience, transforming figures, interiors and familiar objects through vivid color and fluid brushwork.
The presentation also reflects both artists’ longstanding connections to the United States. Bernadet was artist-in-residence at the Chinati Foundation in Marfa in 2010 and has exhibited repeatedly in Texas, including at Marfa Book Company. Breslin has lived and worked in the United States and studied with Alex Katz; her work is held in collections including the San Antonio Museum of Art, Hudson Valley MOCA and the Alex Katz Foundation.
For Untitled Art Houston, Andrea Festa will present a selection of new and recent paintings that place the two artists in dialogue, tracing different ways painting can transform lived experience, memory, and perception into image.
