With fluid color and form, Caroline Absher dissolves the boundary between the external and the internal, rendering a transcendental vision of the world.
Caroline Absher (b. 1994, Winston-Salem, North Carolina) is a Brooklyn-based painter whose energetic, intuitive works merge abstraction with lyrical figuration. Drawing on her experiences as a solo world traveler, she explores the fluid relationship between perception and emotion. Absher has exhibited internationally, with recent shows at Fredericks & Freiser (New York), Loyal Gallery (Stockholm), and V1 Gallery (Copenhagen). Her work is held in the permanent collection of the Portland Museum of Art.
