Andrea Festa Fine Art is proud to present Circle Game, a solo exhibition of works by Brooklyn-based painter Mary DeVincentis, on view from February 16 to March 24, 2024.
In this exhibition, DeVincentis delves into the emotional and symbolic fabric of the human experience, constructing deeply personal, mystical, and often unsettling visual worlds. Her paintings are rich with pagan, botanical, and supernatural elements, woven together in swirling compositions that explore the spiritual and psychological terrain of contemporary life.
Rooted in Buddhist philosophy and driven by a fascination with human storytelling, DeVincentis creates images that speak to both personal memory and collective mythology. The result is a body of work that feels timeless—reaching into both past and future, the inner psyche and the cosmos. Her vibrant, intuitive forms give shape to the invisible: desire, fear, suffering, and transformation.
“Painting,” she writes, “is related to skin, guts, blood, minerals, plants, and stardust.” That visceral approach is evident in her work’s ability to disarm viewers, drawing them in with seductive color and form while confronting the hidden impulses and projections that underpin our lives.
Circle Game continues Andrea Festa Fine Art’s commitment to artists whose practices illuminate inner worlds and universal themes. Mary DeVincentis offers a visual language of transformation—an invitation to reflect, remember, and reimagine.
